Eight months after the election she is still, inexplicably, a repeated target for the far left. Their attacks are vicious, vile and apparently absolutely limitless in how vulgar and cruel they get. Not only that, they are actively attacking her financially by filing briefs and ethics complaints, forcing her to use her own money to defend herself. Every single of one of the complaints so far has been dismissed as groundless, but she still has to pay money to defend them. She is in debt and has a defense fund to pay for that.
She is mocked as a woman in crude, sexual terms. Her children are mocked. Her husband is mocked. And at some point I think you have to ask, "Is public service worth this?" I think it's clear that it is not.
She goes out as a victor in my book. She has exposed her the vulgarity and vileness of her opponents through her life and witness better than anyone else ever has.
There were a lot of folks that didn't like her during the campaign. That's fair. Campaigns are definitely open season. But now, eight months later, there are still people on the far left who are consumed with attacking, degrading and maligning her. Don't believe me? Google her and read some blogs. And their attacks are not limited to just words, as I stated above. Those people are evil reprobates who will one day give an account to the God to whom Palin's vengeance belongs.
As for her, she can now get back to what is clearly the most important thing to her -- to the eternal chagrin of the arrogant, self-important feminists who loathe her -- and that's being a happy wife and a loving, stay-at-home mom.
