The Good News: Andy Scott's Sweet is coming back to Australia.
The Bad News: yet again, we on the west coast miss out. We don't have venues here like the League Clubs and RSL Clubs like they do on the East Coast. But - they could still play in some of our pubs or clubs. Hell, Suzi Q makes it back here every couple of years, and still packs 'em in. I'll keep my fingers crossed, but I doubt we'll see any "Action" here in the West. |

See if you can get anyone interested in between 8th and 12th (or better still after Nov 18th) more local to you and contact Nigel Kerr (his booking agent)?? You never know...?

Interesting thought, Stewron, but I doubt during the four-day break that they could make it clear across to the other side of the country. It looks like the
tour is only taking in the East Coast, leaving South Australia and Western Australia out. It's disappointing, but understandable. Australia is a big
country, and touring here can be expensive. Adelaide and Perth (capital cities of SA and WA) often miss out on the big tours...and some of the not so big
tours, like this one. Such is life!

Yes!!!!!!!!! That's so cool!!!!!!!! I just got the email!!!! I've been away from here for about a month - I just haven't been able to get on the
Internet long enough to keep up to date with everything - but WHOA!!!!! I' m so excited!!! I've already seen so many amazing gigs this year, and now

So there's a show in South Australia, but still nothing for the West? Well, now I'm just insulted. It seems a shame to come all this way, and not
even squeeze in ONE show in Perth? In this morning's newspaper here, there are advertisements for upcoming concerts by two regular international concert
acts, who do make the time to visit us here in the west - both Alice Cooper, and Suzi Quatro are touring soon. Alice in the beginning of September, and Suzi
at the end of September. Guess my Sweet $$$ will go to one of them.

Hey MG62- put the Suz/Alice money back in your wallet for a moment. Check the cheap airfares for Virgin or Qantas - if you buy this far ahead you should get a
return ticket to Melbourne for a pretty fair price and see three Sweet shows to boot. Easy to say, I know, given these economic times, but if you want
something badly enough you can always make it happen! As a similarly geographically-challenged West Aussie I say good luck

I'd thought of that, but I have commitments here in Perth. I DJ weddings and school discos, etc. so I'm working most weekends. Otherwise a trip to the
East would be a definite - I've done it before to see an act that wasn't playing in Perth (Prince).

I'm also very pleased to see Sweet coming back to Australia. I live in Tassie though so I guess I'll have to pop over the water to see them in
Victoria. I remember they actually came to Tassie in 1986 (is it really that long?) and did a big show at Wrest Point Casino. We also have the Derwent
Entertainment Centre in Hobart and the Velodrome up north if they are still booking extra shows.

They didn't do Perth in 2004, either. Last time they came this far was the mid-80s. I saw them at a club called Pinocchio's (any ex-Perthites will know
how long it's been since that place was around!).
