Going to Islands of Adventure myself in a coupla weeks for my daughters end of the year trip. My brother works for Universal, had I known I probably could have floated you some free tickets! Glad you had a great time- get in touch with me next time, bro!

Thoughts on PPP.
Obsession with the genus femalia.. (no surprise there) If you're expecting lyrics ala Bob Dylan or Sting..forget it. Thought some of the lyrics were .. a little uncomfortably put to the music. Bass playing: superlatives galore. Don't know if it was recorded to highlight the bass playing but on my speakers they were really outstanding compared to vocals and lead guitar. Always love a reggae riff and this cd doesn't disappoint, but I think I prefer the harder numbers. All in all loved most of the songs particularly head banger number 16 living for the night. One song in particular 17 "you don't want me no more" had a really nice sounding vocal, was very nice to listen to. Who is it singing? |

The other singer on PPP is David Arkenstone. He has a fantastic voice. I love especially Sweet Dream and Little Angel. Steve's best song for me is "Talk to me"....Who would have guessed that?????????????? I got some real good subwoofers now, and his bass comes over.....undescribable!!

The daughter and I enjoy "glitz, blitz, and hitz" DVD we found here in the USA. (she is only 12 yrs old and probably a bigger fan than I, LOL..mick is her favorite)
She took a Sweet greatest hits C. D. to her middle school one morning, where they allow a song of any students choice to be played on the p.a. system before announcements each morning...well, when she got her turn for a choice for a song, she had "Ballroom Blitz" put on, which blared in every 5th,6th, 7th, and 8th grade classroom in that whole middle school here in northern Nevada!! She said later that the kids in her classroom were like, "wow"!! cool song!! And her teacher was exclaiming.."Oh, my Gosh, I remember that song!" Talk about a caffiene rush first thing in the morning!! |

I let my MP3 player run in alphabetical order today. I'd forgotten how good Breakdown sounded. At the time of release, it was my least fave track on DB but I certainly wouldn't say that now. Great musicianship from the guys. Listen again if you get the chance to Steve & Mick/bass & drum as one. I'll stop there- I feel a poem coming on
