I only wish I could have been there! but as some of you know I've had a problem this year which prevented me from going!! Great set list there, really
sorry to have missed out on all the fun. Hopefully see you all next time Andy does a UK gig ( or even Steve with any luck).

Yeah looking at Bruces kit you could tell we weren't getting Poppa joe and a rollicking night was had by all. The hits set was fleshed out with all the
goodies from the recent SFA tour, plus action, Set Me Free, BOTF etc. A proper full Sweet gig....
Still paying the penalty for eating the cheap curry last night but hey; that's all part of the great Bilston experience!

Yes, a stonking gig I have to say!! Bruce's kit setup did give a clue as to the direction it would take, and his solo spot was amazing, especially with the
Cozy Powell 'Dance with the Devil'section -

yes...absolutely awesome. or as i kept getting told all night "*!%!@%% brilliant" or "*!%!@%% fantastic".
i especially liked the way Steve utilised the long instrumental in LILO to do a small part of Do It All Over Again, which is certainly one of my favourite songs from Sweetlife. Maybe one day i'll hear it all at a gig. hehe. they were all on top form. fantastico glamtastico. (yes...i'm still drunk) |

Great to meet yers again, brilliant gig, even got to chat with Andy, Mars Bonfire were pretty good.
Pawl even called me a ledgend (don't know why) Stew I'll send you the Elastic Band Mr Rose video when I get it, Andy is desperate to see it. Andy was telling us (there were a few Slade fans there too) about the latter days of the Elastic Band in the Bahamas 1968 with the N Betweens (slade) which will probably feature in Don Powells book next year. Great night, didn't get home 'til 1.00 this morning.

A really great gig ! Was lovely to see some familiar faces Steve , Dunc, Elisabeth , John , Eileen and a pleasure to meet Pawl although I was disappointed
not to have a longer chat ! The sound was excellent, the banter was great , the ##$$ ups were funny and the setlist rocked !

What a GREAT night out.
To meet all you fellow SWEET fans was brilliant. Sorry we never got to talk alot more meadey, next time mate and keep giggin', respect to you for that. Great quiz Ian, at a very busy time of the evening, thanks. The "legend" Gary Jordan Brum. Why are £50 notes totally useless in B'Ham/Bilston? Cheers John [VC10] for the change, i'd never have got pissed without you mate! Talkin' of drinks, Richard [percyy] and myself calculated we must have had about 12 pints each minimum and then we hit the shorts back at our hotel!! Elizabeth, we finally meet, see you again soon hopefully. And YES, I did get kissed by Ewan [peck on the cheek] he took me by surprise when i least expected it. Nice to meet you buddy. AniseedRock [Charlotte] you can't blame me for any after effects due to alcohol, I only bought you one drink mein libling. Thanks Kevin for relieving my wallet of a few £50 notes in return for all those lovely cds. Oh and the music; SWEET WERE MAGNIFICENT. A great set worth the every penny this weekend. naw Pawl...i blame the drunk as a skunk bugger i was with...who told me "you didn't have to drink it".
what the hell was i gonna do with it?..feed it to the floor....from the way my boots kept getting left behind that thing had already had more than enough to drink. 
when's the next one?

I've got photos but I'm not even going to try to upload them from home as it'll jam everything up then crash. I'll do it from work tomorrow.
I think that may have been the best Sweet gig I can remember (bearing in mind I don't actually remember much of Hammy Odeon!). Loads of Sweet Fanny Adams tracks, a happy, smiling Andy and good company to enjoy the gig with. What more can we ask for? I think I calculated I got through 10 Archers & Lemonades, ate all my cheap curry like a good girl, got to bed about 2am, had my sleep disturbed by small excitable dogs & woke up at 8.30 with no hangover or curry-related after-effects. We had brekkie in Morrison's cafe & was home by 2pm.
