Maybe not a FAQ but over on another (70's) site they have an album with Beatles songs done by different artists.
You'd be thinking that 'Paperback Writer' would be the song done by Sweet? Nope, they have 'Ticket To Ride' by the Sweet!! That CANNOT be right.....can it?
I get better and better looking every day...... I cant wait for tomorrow!!

It's a thought but it actually listed "Ticket To Ride" by "The Sweet" along with many other Beatles songs by many other different
artists?
What about your 'weekend glam wear excursions' though young man? Tell me more Zabadak......

Just out of curiosity!! Where else in the UK does Andy Scotts sweet play.. because it would be really good if they would come down to Nottingham or Derby or
somewhere alot closer.. or somewhere you could just get a bus or train and just walk there ?

Hardly ever, it would be on one of those user friendly "Glitz, Blitz and Hitz" type tours (slippers tour) when they do a much shorter set of most of
their 'hits'. You'll also get a couple of other bands that night like The Rubettes, Sailor, Showaddywaddy, Slade and other bands of that ilk?

Okay, got it. Album: Abbey Road - A Tribute To The Beatles. Definitely not the famous Sweet (or any incarnation as such - much to different vocals) !

Sweet (Connolly, Priest, Scott and Tucker) had 17 singles in the Top 10. 4 singles released worldwide (more or less) didn't make it, namely, Alexander
Graham Bell (24), Lost Angles (13), Stairway to the stars (15) and California Nights (23).

Well that fact just proves that Sweet on their own were more than capable of penning a top then hit..if some circumstances were different they may have been a
number one

Fact, at least 11 singles went to the number one spot ... (that's just out of 3 countries)

I left out some countries like UK, Belgium, Finland and Switzerland. These countries did not add more singles to the 11 from the 3 countries selected, Australia, Germany and Holland.

In June 2008 Steve Priest's Sweet was appearing on the Mark & Brian Radio Show, LA, USA. One of the employees at the radio station stepped forward and
said the following:
quote: I would just like to say, that Sweet never got the respect, that they deserve - back in the day. If not for Sweet, if not for Desolation Boulevard in particular, there's no Mötley Crüe, there's no Sunset Scene up in the eighties happening here, like it's the wellspring from which so much killer stuff come from. And I just wanted somebody at least to acknowledge it.
