I am quite sure that the old school HSHers are the ones most regularly visit this site so logic says they would be in the hat first. Also we don't know
just how many actually went into the ballot, I suspect not many as we don't have loads of vistors here. If it was say 70, if then obviously the success
rate would be high. Probably easier to count the ones that didn't make it.
I'm not going but rest assured - if I had been unlucky I would pull every string I had and every influence I could - as an Old School HSHer - to blag my way in. Hope that helps with your tedious rant. Knob

Just to explain why my invite was so late. I received my email at 11.30 pm 18th May. I had checked earlier in the day and found nothing, so wrongly I assumed
I had'nt received an invite. Checked my emails 20th May found my invite. So Jeannie No con ,No fix. Just lucky. A little tip for you "you have to be
in it to win it"

Dear all,
I hope that you do not find it impertinent that I raise this topic, but I am thinking of this over and over again, as our big event at Bilston and Andy's 60th birthday is coming closer very quickly: What about a present for Andy ? He has done such a nice job to set up a personalised message for all people being invited to his party and gives us a chance to meet him personally to celebrate. ...but also for those who have not been lucky to be in the draw but who do like Sweet: Do we want to do something together or is everybody deciding upon his/her own? Andy might appreciate a unique memory of this event as well? Maybe Stew (hope so...) could help in providing some ideas as obviously he knows Andy best? We may also create a nice birthday greeting poster with our pictures and names on it (I could offer my help with this...) What do you think? It is only a proposal... Kind regards Annette |

I was 'gonna bung a £50 quid note in a very expensive birthday card, Andy prefers cash, he's not keen on accolades!! Very wise man.
