Hi Lorraine, I do agree with you. I have been coming on this site for 11 years. I really enjoy this site and I like knowing what's going on with my favourite band. I was just explaining that if anyone doesn't like my posts then don't respond to it just like I do if I find a post silly/boring/irrelevant and there have been times where I have came across posts like that.

recording is going on ... then all the secrecy, not letting anything out, guessing games and rumours flourishing ... Well, I guess it's some kinda
marketing strategy … I guess they'll be doing the tracks, they've already done on tour ... or maybe just the hits and Sweet Dreams ... and Talk To Me
with Steve on vocals (oh, there goes the surprise) ...

I'm wondering if there's a concern that those Chinnichap people may need "consulting". Didn't steve already have problems with a release
of his not too long ago which upset one or both of the Chinnychaps? If this is so then there may be Steve versions of some of the Chunnychomps material in the
mix. He's always threatened to do Dynamite...

...that was the Live In Demark CD, as I do recall some years ago that he was given legal grief by a certain component of the Chinnichap duo...

Thing is Alfred , Steve has put a lot of work in to get the name of Sweet back into the public ( USA ) eye . A release of popular stuff done their way is a no
brainer really . New stuff will come soon enough I'm sure .

He threatened to release a LH tour recording without Blitz, the only chinkychops song in teh set, just to get round it.
Who knows what will happen? But I would just love to see the Guv'nor Bass Player live again somehow... even if it's only a dvd for old Blighty

Hi there,
I can see where you are coming from, but I really don't want to see another Glitz, Blitz and Hitz type thing like Andy's version of The Sweet did. I think it's a waste of time and effort. I'm sure the people in the U.S.A. have the lps from the original line-up and plus Steve's band performing the major hits put selected album tracks and b-sides live to make people familiar with the catalogue. I'm sorry but I still prefer to see ALL new material and NO re-records. We'll see. I would like to see Sweet as a progressive, here for today band and not just be an oldies band pumping out old hits night after night live and doing rerecords of old hits. I would like them to record new stuff. I'm ok with Steve perform material form the original Sweet but I would like to hear new songs as well. Just my humble opinion, that's all. Look I like Steve as a musician, vocalist, etc but if you look at his past history of promising to deliver the goods you and I and the rest of the people here could be waiting a very long time for it to happen. I hope he proves me wrong. Again just my humble opinion. Alfred |
