My biggest regret is turning to chicken sh it back in 1985, they had played a sold out show in Newcastle Australia at the beginning of their tour and a few weeks later came back and did one at a suburban venue where the crowd was veeeeeeery thin, I was in the bar with my mate having a few beers before the show and and Mick and Andy walked past us, I was dying to walk up and say hello but I got cold feet and just sat there regretting it even then... these days I would have walked up chatted...

Not knowing about them sooner in my life. Fell for Sweet after Mick past. And obviously not being able to see them in the 70's. Thank goodness for Youtube.

I'm surprised you didn't rush straight down to the tattoo parlour and get the signature made into one before it was either rubbed or washed off.

This is so easy..... Never seeing the original lineup... of course it was pretty much beyond my control. First I'm in the states so not a whole lot of chance and 2nd I was much to young when they did tour here.

I must say that reading some of your regrets makes me feel much better tho. Seriously Zab----you washed a shirt with Andy's autograph?

Part of me wishes I'd seen the original line up, but another part of me knows how intoxicating I would have found the concert and is a little glad I didn't meet all four boys.

I wish I had known how people knew where and when Sweet were appearing back in the 70's. They seemed to have been constantly touring in the early 70's but I only ever heard of ONE gig and Brian was unable to perform due to throat problems. And again Andy's incarnation seems to have toured a lot, but before the internet I never knew he was still at it! So I suppose I regret not joining a fan club or something.

When I met Sweet in 1973 Brian came off stage after the first song which was Done ME Wrong Or Right I think it was to get changed. I had left my purse in the dressing room and he went up stairs to get it. When he came back down he was holding a cigarette and passed it to me , I said no thanks I don't smoke (I was 13yrs) and another girl took it from him.
I WISH I HAD TAKEN IT AND KEPT IT !!!!!

Ditto here, having given away all my Bravos and then a couple of years back buying Bravos again on Ebay. Doh!
Also I gave away all my Sweet Albums 10 years ago. A friend with a second hand store then sold them there. When I wanted to buy some back, he charged me the full price that he charged other buyers too LOL

Biggest Sweet regret for me is defintely not keeping all my old magazines from the 70's. I've kept some stuff like fan club membership from 73 with black and white photo but I must have had loads of music mags which I just got rid of to save space.

I agree, too many regrets can be bad for the soul..... of all my regrets? Well, I'm putting them in the past and thinking about the future.....getting to see Andy's Sweet, meeting him, and meeting as many people on here as possible!

not conversing more extensively with Steve (I promise to open my mouth next time)
not meeting or having seen Andy and his Sweet...yet (it WILL happen)

My biggest regret has to be taking 34 years to discover anything about them at all . Better late than never i suppose and what a brilliant time I'm having listening to all this music I've never heard before .

Not meeting Brian?
Not meeting Mick?
Not kissing a member of the band when you could have done?
Not asking the right question when the opportunity arose?
Not being in the right place at the right time?

One of my regrets amongst many would be not keeping all of my posters and cuttings in good condition and also not...
