In this months Mojo magazine, in the 'all back to my place' section on page 9, there is a small Q&A with American singer Andrew W.K. He was asked what his all time favourite album was, and he replied...
"It would be painful for me to sum it up, but for today, i'd say Give Us A Wink by The Sweet, where they became more aggressive and more aggro, my favourite band in the world".

I'm not sure whether this game will work, so let's try. Person 1 gives a song title and person 2 gives another song title which ends with the beginning of the previous song: the first letter(s), the first syllable, the first word(s), etc.

I'll give an example to make things clear:

After watching 'Don't Leave Me This Way' I needed something to cheer me up again, so I put the CD 'Platinum Rare' on. Two things strikes when listening to the tracks on this great CD :

1 . People that says Brian allready had lost his voice in 1978 should listen to 'You're Not Wrong For Loving me' on this CD, wich is recorded from the rehearsing for the 'Level Headed Tour'. He sounds better than ever on this recording. Pure magic !!!

WHAT A CON! Ticketmaster now lets you print out your own tickets. Fair enough... BUT THEY CHARGE YOU. They charge me to use my own ink - AND YOU HAVE TO PRINT A WHOLE SHEET OF A4 for EACH TICKET. AND IT'S COLOUR, my own electricity, my own printer. THEY SHOULD PAY ME! I'VE EVEN SAVED THEM THE PRICE OF POSTAGE!!! As you will know my friends I very rarely have an opinion about anything much, but on this issue I am prepared to make a stand. COME THE REVOLUTION.....

One thing that consistently came through in interviews with Sweet in 1978 when they were promoting their 'new' mature-sounding Level Headed album, which included the worst song they ever recorded, a funk-brass track no less (Strong Love), was that if they hadn't had a long break from each other during 1977 they'd have split up. Have been watching the fantastic DVD footage from Devizes, a couple of questions, Who is the person that comes up and sings Blockbuster and Fox? great voice. Was there ever an unplugged solo CD made after Devizes?

I got my tickets for the Fleetwood Mac concert in Sheffield on Monday in the post today. They say its a hits concert so the set list will be interesting. Last time I saw them it was in 2003 during the Say You Will tour which was the first tme they'd toured without Christine since she first joined way back in the early 70's. Whilst watching TV ..during the adverts I have seen two very good films that are soon to be released next month!!!! They are called The Fourth Kind and 2012.... The Fourth Kind is basically all about ufo's ...aliens and 2012 is all about the end of the world..both subjects interest me so I will be watching them both.. so next weekend I will be taking a trip to the cinema.. The fourth kind is out on the 6th November and 2012 is out on the 13th November!! So anyon else gonna be watching...

Es kann ja sein, das dieses Thema schon mal da war, kann es aber nicht finden. Die Idee spuckt mir schon durch den Kopf, seit Andy bei "Love is Like Oxygen" den Mittelteil mit ACDC, ELP und Deep Purple verschönt hatte. Also, sorry wenn es diese Frage schon gab.
Ich wäre total heiss auf eine Cover CD mit den tollsten Rocksongs gespielt von Sweet.
